Waters" by early Indian settlers, Pentwater is situated on both Lake
Michigan and Pentwater Lake. Incorporated in 1867, Pentwater has long been a busy harbor village. Lumbering, commercial fishing, brick making and farming helped make it the largest settlement on the Lake Michigan shoreline between Muskegon and Manistee.
